Poverty for Millionaires
What started as a research project for an art history course in 2018 on modern interiors, Poverty for Millionaires has developed into a design project beyond the scope of this course. Now taking the form of a leather bound book with debossed cover, Poverty for Millionaires looks at the work of French interior designer Jean-Michel Frank and how his unique and bizarre use of materials proposed new codes of luxury for the 1920’s and 1930’s.
I received a publication grant from Concordia’s Fine Arts Reading Room to produce multiple copies which are now available.
